StellarSecure

Installation

Two ways to bring devices under management

Install the StellarSecure agent on supported systems with one generated command line. Devices managed through native MDM follow the appropriate enrollment workflow — one shell command does not enroll every endpoint.

1. One-line agent install

For supported Windows, Linux and macOS systems, your workspace generates a single-line command that includes your enrollment reference. Sign in to generate the exact command for your workspace and copy it with one click.

Linux & macOS (Terminal) — illustrative example

curl -fsSL https://stellarsecure.com/e/<your-enrollment-token>/install.sh | sudo bash

Windows (PowerShell) — illustrative example

irm https://stellarsecure.com/e/<your-enrollment-token>/install.ps1 | iex

These are examples. <your-enrollment-token> is a placeholder — your real, scoped, expiring token is generated inside the app and is never a public secret. The script requests administrator access (sudo or a UAC prompt) if it needs it.

2. Native MDM enrollment

Mobile and other natively managed devices enroll through their platform’s native MDM workflow rather than a shell command. The available enrollment modes and prerequisites — vendor accounts, permissions or certificates — depend on the platform.

  • Meet the platform’s enrollment prerequisites.
  • Enroll the device through its native MDM workflow.
  • Apply supported configuration from the console.

An installation command doesn’t remove the need for platform permissions, native enrollment or other prerequisites. Enrollment always uses a secure, scoped, expiring mechanism — the enrollment reference alone never authorizes management.

Your exact, copyable command lives in the app.
